The Instructor training system from Heliocentris realistically represents the basic functions of a fuel cell system. With the Instructor you can do more than teach the design and functioning principles of a fuel cell system. The installed measuring technology makes it possible to closely examine the parameters influencing the operating behavior of the fuel cell stack. This makes the system suitable for both basic and more advanced courses. Extensive experimenting capabilities, detailed instruction material and professional software provide effective support for your teaching concept.

 

Extensive visualization capabilities

 

The integrated data displays allow you to view all important parameters and their interactions. The included software allows computer-supported operation and use of a beamer for display. The system is therefore ideal for use in a lecture hall. 

Completely safe also under extreme loads 

 

The Instructor is designed for maximum technical safety. Developed especially for universities and vocational institutions, the system is designed for safe and easy operation also by inexperienced persons. In case of overloads or irregularities, it shuts down automatically and locks the hydrogen supply. Therefore, you can take the system to its limits without the risk of damage or safety hazards. 

 

 

 

Adaptable complexity

 

The Instructor has a modular design. This allows flexibility in the complexity of the test setup. Start with simple experiments to teach the basic principles. As the students gain experience, you can increase the level accordingly.

  • Fuel Cell Module FC 50: Includes a 50 W fuel cell stack with a fuel cell controller, hydrogen flow meter, air supply, LED displays for all essential system parameters (current, voltage, temperature, fuel and air supply).
  • Electronic Load Module EL 200: For manual or computer-assisted adjustment of constant rated currents for the fuel cell for recording characteristic curves.
  • Instructor manual: Experiment manual with well-prepared practical experiments
  • CD-ROM Learning Module: CD with background information on fuel cells (in German only)
  • Textbook "Fuel Cell Systems Explained": Classic textbook on fuel cell technology (in English only)
  • Frame for holding experiment panels and cable set with all connecting cables
