Heliocentris expands its presence in the Middle East

New branch office opening in Silicon Oasis, Dubai, will provide expert capabilities in green power solutions for the multitude of industrial and educational customers in the Middle East and North African Region

Berlin – 26 January 2012: Saving energy, reducing costs as well as minimizing environmental pollution and carbon footprint are key drivers in dynamic regions like the Golf Countries – especially in the telecommunications industry. Heliocentris develops, produces and markets energy efficiency and clean power solutions geared specifically to these needs.

“International demand is steadily rising thanks to the substantial benefits our product and service portfolio provides to customers with installations that are not connected to the electricity grid or operate in a bad grid environment, among them mobile operators, tower companies as well as governmental institutions and Oil & Gas companies." says Ayad Abul-Ella, CEO of Heliocentris and Managing Director of P21. "With the Middle East being one of our primer target regions and growth drivers, we now went a step further and established a regional headquarter in Dubai to provide our customers and partners a fast, best in class and end-to-end support in turnkey projects based on local resources and expertise" adds Ayad Abul-Ella.

The branch office of P21, a Heliocentris Company, is located in Silicon Oasis and started operations end of 2011 with local staff including Sales, Solution Engineering and Project Management. Silicon Oasis continues to be a leading hub for high-tech innovation and development. High ranking companies like Etisalat, du, Ericsson, Schneider, Fujitsu and other international technology companies as well as Institutes of Technology like Rochester are located in the neighborhood, so expanding to that location goes hand-in-hand with Heliocentris’ efforts to gain market share in those areas. "We believe this is an important step in the expansion of our relationships to existing and new business partners, and at the same time a further sign of our strong commitment to this region” says Michael Kutschenreuter, the General Manager of the Middle East Africa Business of Heliocentris/P21 and the Managing Director of the Dubai Branch.

"On top the broad client base in the region, the local operations is intended to also support the variety of opportunities enabled by our strategic shareholders from the region" says Ayad Abul-Ella. "With NTEC, the technology arm of the Kuwait Investment Authority KIA and Alcazar Capital Ltd. from Dubai, both closely attached to Heliocentris, the establishment of the local operations made even more sense to us" Ayad Abul-Ella concluded.
