Heliocentris - Overview

Heliocentris, established in 1995 in Berlin, Germany, is considered a pioneer in the fuel cell industry. The company has focussed early on Education and Science markets with universities, research institutes and schools as clients.   With the introduction of the hydro-Genius demonstration models, Heliocentris succeeded in providing one of the first serially produced products to the marketplace. Since then Heliocentris has expanded its product offerings significantly,  especially in the area of complex lab equipment. To date, Heliocentris offers  the marketplace more than 50 products divided into 8 product lines. Due to the early focus on Education and R&D markets  Heliocentris has successfully co-developed this marketplace and could position itself as one of the global leaders. Having sold more than 35,000 fuel cells worldwide has enabled Heliocentris to gather extensive experience in the serial production and sales of fuel cell systems.

Building on this solid foundation of fuel cell system integration experience within  the education market, Heliocentris has launched the Systems & Solutions department in 2007. The purpose of this department is to offer custom system integration solutions and services for the industrial sector building client specific applications. A major pillar in this strategy is partnering with the current “best in class” players within the fuel cell industry such as Ballard Power Systems and Hydrogenics.

Having sold to more than 50 countries worldwide has positioned Heliocentris as one of the global players of the fuel cell industry.
